I remember being taught in school: Don't ever start a sentence with "Because".
Later, I learned the reason why - to stretch the mind out of it's comfort zone.
Once we've learned the rules, we get to actively participate in creating new ones.
WHY I MAKE MOVIES
Because it engages me in life.
Because I get to tell stories.
Because I get to express what I've imagined.
Because it's something I get to do with others.

WHY I WRITE
I don't know how-not-to.
Have you ever woken up from a dream, and HAD to write down whatever was coming through you?
Sometimes I write for hours. My fingers get dents from holding the pen, and I have to remind myself to slow down, and BREATHE...
The ideas take on a LIFE of their own.
As the day goes on, they continue to GROW.
They are NOT my ideas;
They DON'T belong to me.
I am here to CONNECT them back to you.
I excel at what I do. My confidence comes from:
- involvement at every stage of the process
- 25+ years of experience
- being aware of my strengths and my weaknesses
WHY I COORDINATE AND FACILITATE
It comes naturally to me.
I have an innate talent for organization and efficiency, and for discovering what motivates people.
Studying psychology has emphasized the value of being a good listener, and of respecting each individual's right to self-determinism.
Working in the insurance and investment industries has created a strong foundation for understanding business principles.
Film school taught me how to communicate using sights and sounds instead of words...this approach makes me a more effective communicator with diverse groups.
